Description
The Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) is excited to host the 25th Annual CHAIRish the Children Gala, which will celebrate the past and imagine the future, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. This year’s gala co-chairs are Marye & John Nickens and Krystle Ferbos Duplessis & Royce Duplessis. The event will be hosted at the Museum’s campus at 15 Henry Thomas Drive in New Orleans City Park. Proceeds will benefit LCM’s mission to strengthen and support families and improve life outcomes by ensuring children have access to safe, innovative, learning and play experiences. “I am thrilled to celebrate the Louisiana Children’s Museum’s incredible history of impact and envision our ever so bright future of programs and services,” said Tifferney White, LCM’s new Chief Executive Officer. “My vision for the museum is to continue on our promising trajectory of community impact while promoting access for people of all backgrounds at our City Park campus and beyond.” Guests are invited to take in the spectacular indoor venue featuring world-class exhibits that pay homage to Louisiana’s natural, social and cultural treasures as learning resources with windows overlooking the natural beauty of City Park. Dickie Brennan & Co. Catering and Events will dazzle with delectable cuisine, alongside specialty cocktails and spirits, courtesy of Hendrick’s Gin. The event will also feature live music, a raffle for a 3-carat diamond tennis bracelet from Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry and an exclusive online auction. “One of the few times that the museum is open just for adults to enjoy, we are envisioning a wonderful night of fun as we gather to support the LCM’s focus on early childhood literacy and learning,” said event co-chair John Nickens. “Join us as we honor 25 years of celebratory galas and look to the future of the museum and the generations who will learn and play here.” The event will highlight memories from events past and guests will be serenaded by 90s-inspired entertainment. Cocktail attire and 90s flair are encouraged. Information about gala tickets, raffle tickets and the online auction can be found at here. Gala ticket purchase is not required for raffle entry and online auction participation. LCM’s annual Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry Raffle, valued at $4,750, is now open to the public. The bracelet features 55 round diamonds set in individual 14k white gold settings. Tickets are $30 and three for $60. Those who purchase at the $60 level will receive an LCM-Lee Michaels branded insulated wine tumbler. This year’s online auction offers patrons the opportunity to bid on dozens of exciting items, entertainment packages and one-of-a-kind decorated chairs. Sponsors include Hancock Whitney, JP Morgan and Cox.
